Beginners Guide in Building PC

Building a PC is like building an airplane. If you’re not sure what’s the best parts to use, your computer will never fly. But if you know the best places to get  the parts and how to assemble them, you can build any type of  powerful or efficient computing machine that  you want. It all comes down to knowing  the process and the necessary steps  to build a computer from scratch.

In this guide, we’ll be going over the parts that you need in order to build a PC as well as how each component works, what they do, as well as my recommendations for different budgets. At the end of the tutorial, we’ll be giving you a sample build for just $500. With this guide and our recommended parts, we’re confident that you will  be able to build your own computer with little difficulty and confusion.

how to build a computer for beginners

This guide is mainly for those who have little to no knowledge on how a PC works and how to build one from scratch. If you already know some of the basics, it’s OK. You can still read our tutorial as a refresher on some of the concepts that we’ll be going over.

The first thing that you must ask yourself is what you want to do with your PC. Do you want to use it for gaming? Video editing? Graphic Design? Each different type of work will require a different set of parts. Once you know what kind of computer that you need, we can go straight into building one together.

What components are needed in a PC build?

In every build, there are some components that needed in order for the computer to function. Each component has a specific purpose and works with other parts to make the machine as efficient as possible. In this section, we’ll go over some of these main components.

At minimum, you need a CPU (processor), motherboard, RAM (memory), a hard drive, and a power supply. The other components that we’ll be going over are just as important as the ones listed above, but they’re mostly optional.

How to choose the right parts for your needs?

Every build is unique and the parts that you choose will depend on what it’s going to be used for. If you want a machine to edit video 24/7, your build will look different from someone who wants to play games 24/7. You can’t even compare a PC build for photo editing with one made for mobile game streaming.

The first thing to ask yourself is what do you need your computer for? Each job will require a different set of parts. If you’re a gamer, a good video card will be needed. If you’re into graphic design, the type of monitor and graphics card used for gaming won’t suffice because they’re not calibrated properly for photo editing.

The best way to install those parts into the case is

to follow the steps on how to build a computer from Scratch. This tutorial will detail each step and what parts are going where while also giving you an idea on how your components will look like when they’re installed. You can also check out the video below which is a tutorial series made by US-Computer. This basic tutorial will teach you how to assemble components step by step and it’s recommended for beginners.

How much does it cost to build a PC?

The price range for building a computer will vary depending on the type of components that you want. It’s important to understand that better parts equal higher prices. For example, if you’re looking to build your first gaming rig, there are many options available for just $500. But these cheaper options will not be able to run new games at higher settings. If you have a larger budget of around $1,000, your build can run more advanced games easily while also being powerful enough to do video editing and such.
